Actor Mike Farrell on the Death Penalty

Actor and human rights advocate Mike Farrell spent time with the LA Progressive discussing the death penalty.

Mike has devoted his life to overturning the death penalty. While not the founder, Mike has been the president of Death Penalty Focus since the early 1990s. According to Farrell, the organization was founded simply because, at the time, California was in a situation where the United States Supreme Court had ruled that the death penalty violated the 8th Amendment, which prohibits cruel and unusual punishment.
